I can not pin down the causes but the symptons show up when running more than one screen or window, the screen outputs do not always show up in the window the user & developer thinks is in the foreground.
I think there are some problems with wait window and set talk window in Windows XP. I'm using VFP9 SP1. I had these problems at my last work where we used VFP6, I still have them here. The effect is like the wait window doesn't completely disappear from the screen. I fixed the problem using thisform.cls() every time I noticed this strange effect. But I'd rather avoid this.
I recall we discussed this issue before with Tracy.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
