You can enter the whole number if the text is selected, I think if you cannot enter enough digits your cursor is just positioned past the first location. This can be adjusted by properties on the textbox in the column.

It will still chop off the display, but you can set tooltips on for the form and the grid so you see the entire value when hovering.

You can also use the dynamicfontsize property and only bump the font down if is greater than 99999 this way its only different .000001% of the time

As it stands 99.999999% of the values entered into the grid will fit in a column sized as is the "Base" column. So, rather than change all the column sizes which would then change the width of the grid (or make necessary a horizontal scroll to reach the right hand values) I would REALLY like to be able to have foxpro allow for the input of more characters than a column can actually display. In my company a slight change in the appearance of the grid will cause chaos.
