Re Iraq: IMHO you guys need to grit your teeth and get on with it. Sorry. You can't pull out, or a generation of enemies will decide that you can make the US back down by blowing people up. Sort of like teaching a 3-year-old that they'll always get what they want if the tantrum is big enough. ;-)
IMHO you need to get others involved- the French! Get the French in there. Or maybe some Russians.
