Grenada was different. There had been a coup and our pretext for sending in troops was to protect American students there. Maybe that was just an excuse but there was at least some reason. Also, the whole thing was over in days.
I assume you are being facetious about the French and the Russians. There hasn't been much of an international coalition at all compared to the first Gulf War, which had a U.N. mandate and a clear goal (the liberation of Kuwait). The only one who has supported us with any enthusiasm this time has been Tony Blair, and he has paid a heavy price for that support.
