This server will be separate from the server they normally connect to for file and printing services. They will also be using SQL Server Authentication (Their network policy for this). I talked to the SQL Server admin where I normally work (I consult on the side), he said that as long as they don't use Windows Authentication, the 5 basic CALs should work. Is he wrong on this? I want to be sure this is on the up and up.

>They *may* need Windows Server Client Access Licenses (CALs). You should check with your state IT group to verify this. If your users already connect to a Win2K3 Server, they may already have the licenses.
