I'll probably give it a whirl. However, just for the record, in Windows XP, you can "Create a new network place" (don't I wish Vista would get rid of all the cute nomenclature...) and you can create a virtual folder which uses FTP as an underlying transport. You can also connect to SharePoint folders this way.
I use this method all the time for working on web sites, and avoid having to fire up my WinFTP client.
