When I was in college, lets just say several yrs ago, I tried drinking coffee to stay up the nite before tests. I think I did it 2 or 3 times, and got the shakes. My handwriting on the tests was awful.
I drank pop, tea or nodoze tablets after that without problem. So I just never drank coffee after that.
The office I'm at right now is in the middle of the commercial district, so there's at least 3 coffee shops within 3 blocks. I might have to try something tommorrow. Time to experiment on me.
I've talked to several people who did some college experiments with organs and carbonated liquids. It does make a little common sense that caffeine would be less detrimental then carbonated liquids.
>Perry, I just got back from the midwest. "Pop" it is! ;-)

>As for pick-ups: I advocate coffee. The very best coffee you can find. A lot of people think coffee is bad for you, but check out the second paragraph of this from Harvard:

>Bad risks, huh? ;-) Unless you have severe heart disease, even the most expensive coffee is cheap compared to a fancy drink from a health shop that only does half of this stuff! ;-)

>IMHO Caffeine is a cheap, legal drug with fantastic benefits, as long as you buy decent coffee that is still a vegetable extract, not a chemical mix.
