>On the west coast you say coke or diet coke depending upon which one you want. When I was in the south in the early 1960's a favorite expression was, "Give me an RC and Moonpie". I do not know if they still use that expression or not?

>We had RC in San Francisco when I was a kid and I liked it more than coke. I have not looked for RC for years and do not know if it is still made. In fact I have not had a softdrink in about 35 years, as I just do not like the taste (too much sugar and God only knows) and will not drink a Diet anything! :)

AFAIK RC is still produced. My ex-father-in-law swears by it. Me, I like Coke as an occasional treat.

I think Saturday I achieved a personal best in beverage consumption. It was 94 degrees here, the AC was out, and I was refereeing soccer from 10 until 3. I went through a quart of Gatorade, a half gallon of lemonade, a Biggie Coke from the Wendy's near the soccer fields, three bottles of water, and untold glasses of water from the tap. And that was just keeping up. I only had to "offload liquid" once or twice all day.
