>No, that is incorrect. StrataFrame is a framework, not unlike Codemine. It has many gadgets and gizmos that hook into VS2005 but, you have form classes, control classes, business objects, a data layer etc.,
>
>It is very data-centric in its approach. You drop a control on a form, you select the binding field and you are done. It is very RAD and for a new framework, it is rich and maturing nicely. It also has a very easy learning curve (as does Codemine) and the support is excellent.

>If you are interested in StrataFrame, I would be happy to give you more information and or/assistance with it, should you get a copy in the future.

Thank you for the offer. I will take advantage of it when the time comes.

For the moment VFP + Codemine suit me fine. Right now I am trying to fully understand a spin-off of our main product for which VFP + Codemine + wwBusiness (Rick Strahl's business object class) will be perfect: intense data-munging, easy deployment, and can take advantage of some code I already have. On the other hand, I am mentally stuck since this is the first project that I do with business objects and I am sort of lost. I may write one version to throw away. When completed this will be an important new product for us, so I will be wedded to VFP for a long time. It is a desktop app that may access remote data in some cases. That is another reason why wwBusiness is a good fit.

Glad you feel empowered with two tools. Not many can say that, you know.

Alex
