Welcome back Bonnie;
I remember a true story in Readers Digest that I read around 1970. Switzerland had a standing army of 500,000 during World War II. A German Field Marshal was talking to a Swiss officer and asked, “What would you do if I sent 1,000,000 men into the field against Switzerland”? The Swiss officer replied, “Sir, we would have to shoot twice”!
I love it! :)

>>I have a bunch of Readers Digest magazines in French, still in plastic covers, unopened. The magazines are somewhat old, about 2-3 years old. I got the subscription when I thought my kids will do some "extracurricular" study. I was so foolish and naive <g>.

>>If you would like the magazine, I will be glad to mail them to you. Just tell me where to mail them.

>Wow, that would be great! Don't ask me why a liberal like myself should like a conservative magazine like Reader's Digest, but I do ... maybe because I've been reading it since I was a kid and it's more of a nostalgia thing.

>But anyway, my address is the Ellensburg address that's in my profile. I'll send you a check for the postage if it's a lot. Let me know.
