>Welcome back Bonnie;Thanks Tom.
>I remember a true story in Readers Digest that I read around 1970. Switzerland had a standing army of 500,000 during World War II. A German Field Marshal was talking to a Swiss officer and asked, “What would you do if I sent 1,000,000 men into the field against Switzerland”? The Swiss officer replied, “Sir, we would have to shoot twice”!<Too funny ... the Swiss are an interesting people. Did I forget to mention that we also made a weekend trip to Switzerland? We went to Grindelwald ... where the Eiger is ... we hiked the Eiger trail, which follows along below the north face. Pretty awesome. Ever see the Clint Eastwood movie "The Eiger Sanction"? Parts of it were filmed here. Gary had climbed part of the Eiger when he was a teenager in the 70's ... unfortunately the weather had been too warm and there was too much rock fall, so they couldn't continue to the top ... he said they spent about 10 hours on the wall (when it was supposed to have been a three day climb). I'm just glad that he doesn't do that crap anymore ... climbers are crazy!
