When I place the RTF text in a memo field, and output the memo field on the report, I get the complete string - RTF tags and all. I guess there is something in the general field that tells the report creator to convert the string using the RTF ole control before outputting the data.

If I substitute the general field for a memo field, but keep the report region unchanged, I get the error message "Must be a General field".
