>Among other things I learned here is the ability to ignore unsaid parts of the question. When in Rome... though it does go to ridiculous levels: I've once taken my (European) boss to buy a card for his cell phone. The guy at T-mobile, when asked whether they had any, just said no, they don't sell that here. Period. I was already used to this, but my boss, still being much more European, noticed the missing part of the answer, and asked whether there's another T-mobile shop around where they may have the card. It was in the next building, just across the parking,. The guy just won't say until you specifically ask.
My "keeper" does a lot of international traveling!
And she has to get a special cell phone when she does. With that phone, once she is out of the states - she can call anywhere in the world - from anyplace in the world - except - of course, outgoing calls from the US. We are total sheeple (wimpy US consumers with no leverage) - With just ONE EU cell account she can do all that! Amazing - they even have PGP plugins! I want European Cell Phone Systems and - and I want to pay for my cable seperate from the content I consume. I want - to go to the bathroom -
later:-)
