Hi,
In VFP set Tools/Options/File Locations/Temporary files to c:\foxpro\temp and see what happens. If it makes a difference delete all the temp files in the windows temp directory, usually in C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_LOGIN_NAME\Local Settings\Temp.

>thanks dragan - will check. however, i'm just checking that you don't mean sys(2019). the 2017 is record checksum values, which (based on my limited knowledge) doesn't apply to the config file.
