I think what you're saying is "Society's going to Hell in a hand basket". I wouldn't disagree. Are you also saying to live a pious life like Howard's is preferable for everyone? Maybe so.

But how is this germane to the discussion on the "inferiority" of women, and taking the writings of chauvanistic men several 100 years ago to be a model for how we regard our women today?
