I guess i am really refering to the design time requirement.

When my biz obj project does not have an app.config file, i cannot use the ellipse buttons in the property window to set the BindingSourceMember properties, even though my main project (web app project) does contain a valid web.config file with the appropriate database settings in there.

Everything is working fine at runtime, its just a design time issue.
