I would disagree. It assumes that military service is above all other types of service one can do for one's country. Entrepreneurs (Bill Gates) may not have done military service but have benefited your country immensely. Investors (Warren Buffet), economists (Alan Greenspan), scientists (Albert Einstein), mathematicians (Richard Feynman), politicians (Martin Luther King), etc, etc. What contribution have they given your country? Should they be prevented from voting if they have not done military service?

>Waaaahhhhh. :o) I don't think that will ever or should ever be the case. I am fine with compulsary service but it must also include the option to serve in the Peace Corps or Americorp in lieu of the military. In which case, the service is mandatory, not the specific branch or theatre. In fact, I think service should also be a requirement to VOTE.
