Interesting program I saw the other day about Iraq I believe. The person being interviewed reckons this is the last thing the US/West and the ruling governments in most middle eastern countries want. A democracy in the middle east, one man-one vote etc, would oust the generally pro-west governments eg Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and they would be replaced by Islamic fundementalist regimes not friendly to the west eg Iran. Interesting point, I thought.
