>I know someone who swears by AOL, but this is the same person who has me over to her house every few weeks to help her understand where her email attachments are getting saved to, so maybe it is good for some people. This reminded me - the only other case when I felt my hands were so tied was one IBM 386 PC, which had a special version of closed DOS, where it took about a dozen trips to another machine, creating a few different boot floppies etc until I was able to break out of its shell and make autoexec.bat editable. Took me two hours, and only after that I was able to start installing my app.
