There are probably thousands with degrees in History hoping to get a good position. My ex-husband being one of them. The last college informed him that there were around 1200 applicants for one position. When you get to that point, it really is more 'WHO you know' rather than 'What you know.' You have to be comparably knowledgable of course. Instead, he is in charge of training for a large Corporation. By the way, Adult education in the health industry is a very lucrative position which is not overloaded yet...

>Funny you should bring the subject up, as I'm giving very serious consideration to a career change. Software just isn't the challenge it use to be. If I could make a living at building tank models, I'd do it, but the research is just as fascinating. I'm thinking of goint back to school for a history degree (probably have to go whole-hog and shoot for a PhD) and see where that leads.
