Ok,
I googled one of your quotes "Allah will bestow a vast reward on those who fight in religious wars", got into this page:
http://p4h.humanists.net/Islam%20peace/QuranPeace.html (Among many many others, but this one cited the chapter 4:74, that was what I was looking), so I went to this chapter and read it
"004.074 Let those fight in the cause of God Who sell the life of this world for the
hereafter. To him who fighteth in the cause of God,- whether he is slain or gets
victory - Soon shall We give him a reward of great (value)"
Is not easy learning from the internet, but I found something interesting: "Many of the early translations of the Qur'an into English were done by Christian missionaries. Not surprisingly, they are not known for their accuracy or faithfulness to the intended message." from
http://islam.about.com/library/weekly/aa011601b.htm (Also from there I got the chapter quotation)
"The five senses obstruct or deform the apprehension of reality."
Jorge L. Borges?
"Premature optimization is the root of all evil in programming."
Donald Knuth, repeating C. A. R. Hoare
"To die for a religion is easier than to live it absolutely"
Jorge L. Borges
