This is not true.
Some important things:
- you cannot implement threads
- you cannot implement an OS callback without to write C/C++ code.
- and more more more ....


> cross-platform programming aside, i'm curious if others here who have experience with foxpro and other languages (say C++, VB, Ruby) agree with this. Or, do you find that there are good reasons to use, say C++, instead of VFP? other than enhancing my resume and being able to deal with other peoples code, what would the benefit be of learning VB/C++? I know that other programmers swear by them so i'm curious. i know they've been around longer (at least C and Basic as the precursors) than VFP so maybe that's why they have such an extended following?
