So, it's all perspective and attitude. Nothing to do with any outside influences. Fits right in with what Jos said about "big" and "small" but under finer inspection it sort of blows the Hierarchy of Needs out of the water. Perhaps not though. Maslow was talking more about the most basic needs, not whether you have electricity to run the PC or not. Once those basic needs are taken care of, then attitude and perspective makes the difference and you can concentrate on the big things. It's a lot to think about.
My mother died of cancer when I was 20. Very glad to hear you dodged that one. Thanks for the insight too.
