I recently came across this very pecular problem. Can any one tell me why it could be occuring ?
Create a form and database as follows
1) Database - Table Department, Field Department - C 30 Rule .NOT. EMPTY(department), Index on deparment Primary
2) Form : Private datasession, Optimistic buffering, DE - InitialSelectedAlias - department, Cursor1 - Order department
3) List1 : RowSource - department.department, RowSourceType - field
4) Text1 : ControlSource - department.department
5) Command1 : Caption - \
