I don't think major manufacturers will care to have different labels across states - but then it may be the house brands in retail chains that do this on some of the stuff manufactured by who knows who.
OTOH, from the other end of the spectrum - I've once bought some bit of hardware, a bit of a tool I think, where it said the metal was made in China, and the packaging in Japan, and the company was US owned.
