Hmmm. I think as a boss that I would be a mite suspicious if my employee came back from holiday, immediately sick, or sick leading up to the holiday. Esp. If she BOOKED the sick days off in advance, abbutting her vacation days :-)
Besides, there are plenty of times when I work longer than 8-hour days ... I don't feel guilty when I take an extra day or two off here and there. <g>
Fair enough - that's what flexitime was invented for.
