My HD from DirecTV adds $9.95 a month, but I've had it almost from the beginning. I've had DirecTV for nearly 9 years and it's been great. THe only outages I've ever seen are when extremely heavy rain moves through, and that's only for 10-15 minutes. Unlike cable, which would go out for many hours. Frequently.
