Aha, I didn't know that "menu" was a subject of an SDI form. I agree with Jim at this point, unless you're really comfortable with SDI forms, don't use them (not to discourage you). If you ever gonna use that way take a look at solutions.app (from help select sample apps and run solution). It has an example of SDI form menus and menus coordinating with toolbars.
For that timer all I left is to think "something" is preventing it to fire ??? To check, before thisform.release add something like - wait window "I fired" -. Good luck.
