>These states are rendered "friends" by virtue of their "assistance" yet are continued to be publicly touted as rogue/enemy states by official U.S. statesmen. Syria is a prime example. A Canadian was extraordinarily renditioned to Syria by the U.S. and after torture gained no information he was freed by the Syrians.

I've read over and over statements from several experienced investigators, and from various Gitmo related stories that information gained through torture is worthless. Unless one doesn't really care whether it's worth any, and just wants to show some results of any nature (true or not), or it's just about control freaks and people who enjoy torturing others.

>Does "GWB" = 'go with brutality'?

Good one.
