Can someone share their experience in transferring a software license from one company to another?
Say a company buys my software and then they sell their business. The new owner will be a different name/corporation. Is it typical that the new owner has to buy a license? Or they are entitled to it? I know many will say, it depends on the agreement you had with the initial company. But if you didn't make a formal agreement, what are the typical choices?
