Update: Never mind.. I figured out that the combobox's control source wasn't being reset and all is well in the world again. Phew!

You solved it:) A note:

It's not the normal procedure IMHO. Normal procedure is just adding the combo and setting currentcontrol property. No need to remove default textbox.
