I am quiet surprised to hear that.
I find it way out of proportion. OBL group could hv been catched way easier, by persistent/dedicated hunters, silently and far away from publicity, then by sending entire vilage to foxhunt in the middle of the day, based on assumption that (who else but) fox is to blame for missing chicken.
They did not catch him at the end, they don't hv democracy there
and it seem that they are gonna stay there longer then Soviets,
ripping the same benefits/accomplishments.
