This is actually something I've given a lot of thought to and plan to implement in MM .NET. It's a little tricky because different user interface controls have different events that indicate a value has changed. Billy Hollis (a well-known VB guru) has written an extender-provider component that is similar to what I had envisioned for MM .NET.
