Hi Kevin!
The conventional way of doing this is that there must be buttons that do specific task i.e. Edit button for Editing, New button for new record. Upon clicking these buttons, a method should be called disabling them and enabling the save and undo buttons and vice versa. If this is what you do not want, how interactive the reaction you want it to become?
