If this is true, then MS should not include VFP in Visual Studio. If we look at the newest VFP URL at FAQ portion, MS definition on VFP's role in VS is well and fair. VB is the bread and butter of MS, that's the only reason why it has a huge and bigger budget as compare to VFP and other products. And besides MS can not tame developers using VFP worldwide in promoting it because it is a good product. Look at DELPHI, irregardless of Borland's inability to have its presence worldwide be felt, it is becoming more popular because it is a better product than VB (word of mouth), and to me, VFP, no matter how MS treats it, it will unstoppably be promoted because the quality of the product speaks to itself. I know for a fact that VFP still has lopeholes but OVERALL, it is a WELL CRAFTED product.

Note: There is a RUMOR that MS has secretly recruited 2 guys from BORLAND who made DELPHI and included them to VFP team.
