I understand, but in this case, wasn't one of the real important ones the fact that he used wmd on the Kurds?

He is pending a verdict now on charges against humanity over a crackdown on Shiites in the town of Dujail launched in 1982.

His second trial began Aug 21 on genocide charges for his alleged role in a bloody 1987-1988 crackdown against Kurdish rebels.

While everyone is innocent until proven guilty, I don't think those acts are highly doubtful...

I know it was not the sole excuse, and that is one thing that is uneasing, the whole justification for the war is always a vague list of excuses where some of them, which are undeniable true, are trown in the mix to hide the fact that the real important ones are highly doubtful, and, neverminding the fact that corruption (in this case) affects every country.

>>I dont' recall anyone on this forum every claiming what you implied Hugo. I think many may have pointed out that corruption existed and corruption may have been included in a list of problems in Iraq both before and after the invasion, but I don't think anyone ever listed it as the sole excuse (or the sole or even main justification) for invading a country. Can you provide a link to a message where that was done Hugo? I would be very interested in reading it. I must've missed that one...
