My company produces an application which uses native VFP databases/tables. Because of the nature of the business our application caters to, there will never be a need to migrate to a database server platform.
However, one of our competitors uses Oracle for their data source.
In order to woo several potential clients to our application I need to know the benefits of using VFP vs Oracle for our data source.
We can already rule out cost and speed of data retrieval; they just don't care about that.
What else makes VFP databases/tables preferable to Oracle?
