The question is not correct
You ask not for comparison of VFP vs Oracle,
but for comparison DBFs vs Oracle
You can use VFP as front end of Oracle, Ms SQL, DB2, MySQL as well as front end of DBFs.
What is advantages of DBFs - freeware
What is advantage of Oracle - True DB server
Oracle disadvatages - high TCO.
If you use CursorAdaptor in your application you can make it the same front end to work with various Data storage. We have application, which works with all mentioned above
