Yes I see your problem now, from VFP Help "A group of three question marks bypasses the printer driver and sends the contents of cExpression directly to the printer."

It must print directly to LPT1

Chr(xxx) etc but this always seemd to go to the directly attached printer , rather then the network shared printer. The Report prints ok to the correct printer but I cant get the control characters out to the correct printer
