>>Is it possible to create a VFP application that is set up to be installed on a single network PC and used by multiple users at the same time? This would eliminate the need to upgrade multiple installations as the application undergoes mods. If this is possible, what would be the general framework under which to create it? Would the runtime still need to be installed on each PC, etc.?

>Yes, in the past, I successfully "installed" a VFP 6 application on the server, simply by copying two required DLL files in the same shared folder as the EXE. (Later I found this too much trouble, especially since I had versions of data / EXE in several places, so I did the installation on every machine - precisely what you want to avoid.)

So, would such an installation be considered a "Hack" or is there a protocol for such an installation?
Why did you end up with EXE's all over the place? That's exactly what I want to avoid.
