You could redirect the output to a text file instead of NUL, and create foxpro code to analyse the output. If you want to show the status or progess of the operation (like % complete, or filename zipped), you'll have to run PKZIP for each file seperately, read the results each time, update the user, and proceed to the next file - cause FoxPro won't be able to read the text file you are redirecting to until the ZIP operation is complete. I used to do it this way in the DOS days....

I recommend you consider a third party ZIP program that'll work with VFP. I use DynaZip - much cleaner!
