Hi Terry,

The grid now shows any changes I made while in a Brwose that I added in the grid's Init method.

But the records appearing in the grid still refuse to allow changes, still reporting "The record is read-only".

I did add a WAIT 'DBF is ' + DBF() WINDOW command just before the browse, and indeed the free table is listed. So I know the grid is working with the proper table. Plus, the status line shows: "path to my dbf\my dbf name.dRecord: 56/61 Record Unlocked".
I assume dRecord is just a new OO property of all tables? It does not mean that some cursor is in use, right?

Can anyone think of some more values to display that would help diagnose why records are all read-only?
