Next I tried manually USEing all the required tables in the menu code that subsequently calls the form (containing the grid). I deleted all tables from the form's data environment. But still, record's in the grid are locked...

I hope the 2.x to VFP learning curve isn't as painful as I'm experiencing with grids :(
