This reminds me of one of those IQ test questions-
"If every bing is a bong, then all bongs must be bings. True or False?" ... quite a few people here would apparently answer "true" to that question based on their interpretation of Kerry's sentence ;-)
The most serious consideration in his sentence IMHO is the depiction of Iraq in such a negative light. It used to be "if you don't get educated you'll end up cleaning toilets" but now it's Iraq.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
