>>Ouch, I know I live in a different world, but this sound a bit old fashioned to me. You do allow your kids to drive (so they must be above 16 or 18?), but do not allow them to have sex? Here in holland I think there is not a parent to find who can withhold their kids that age from having sex.

Well, I don't know what you mean with 'we', but as a parent myself I'm realistic enough that my words and rules don't mean much when they're 18 or so. No matter how it hurts seeing your kids growing up, I'd rather see them sexually active in a responsible manner than my daugther getting home with 'a bun in the oven'.

Don't take me wrong, I still will educate my children my norms and values which is that they really should be sure they wan't to have sex before they decide. I think Holland is very liberal in this respect, and I recognise that other parts of the world do have different 'norms and values'.

The advice is to use the condoms when they decide to have sex. And it protects you from getting nasty deceases. And last but not least prevents teenage pregnancies.
