>I think I am realistic when I say: “there is so much you can control”.
yep, we totally agree up here.
>But the fact is that you and I may think very differently on how we educate our kids. I’m sure you are a great father, but I cannot agree with you on giving condoms to my kids.(which I am not sure you meant it literally) For me that would be encouraging them.
Well I believe the opposite. Forbid something and they will explore it. This actually is happening in a lot of countries with a victorian sex code. Be open about it and it becomes less atractive. This might explain that teenagers in the US have sex at a younger age and have a teenage pregnancy rate that is much higher than up here. Though I recognise that sexual education is playing a significant role as well.
>Looking back when I was 16-18, IF my father would have given me condoms before I left the house, I would have demanded some cash and his car to go w/it so I can give good use to the condoms.
And I would restrict that. If you want to have money and a car, you'll have to work for it. And even then, (but we live in a different society where a car is not absolutely neccesary in most areas) I would strongly discourage it. It makes more sense to save some money.
BTW, making good use of it: That would really depend on your casanova skills. That is somthing you cannot force.
