>The definition of cloning - (2) “Clone or attempt to clone a human being” means to implant in a uterus or attempt to implant in a uterus anything other than the product of fertilization of an egg of a human female by a sperm of a human male for the purpose of initiating a pregnancy that could result in the creation of a human fetus, or the birth of a human being.

Knowing quite a bit about fertility, I can say that this definition is overly vague and certainly not complete. There are new (experimental) techniques that allow lesbian couples to have babies of which one, produces the egg and another delivers some DNA. The result is not a cloned fetus, but one with mixed DNA very much the same way as normal male - female couple.

Cloning AFAICS, is reproducing a fetus with identical DNA as their mother or father.

>Cloning is done before implantation, so this wording sounds good, but is actually very deceptive. It leaves it wide open to do the cloning, then implant. Then there is also the problem of intent. What if your intent wasn't to create a fetus, or to cause the birth of a human being? This is just more of the same from the libs.

>Stem cell research is already legal in Missour, so once again, the wacko fringe liberals are trying to pull a fast one. I don't think it's going to work.

I know one world class scientist personally (in the UK though) who has been doing stem cell research for years and years. Though there is a lot of resistance, it has been happening in europe for the last decades. I see it as advance in science: understanding how nature works.

Our worst enemies are not the scientist, but the ignorant, dumb, religious fanatics, who want us to go back to the stone age. The mecial science never had a good understanding with the churge. Thoughout the centuries, lots of medical advances (or any other science) have been rejected by the churge, just because it conflicts with 'gods purpose'. Examples:

- Surgery in general
- Cesarian birth
- Vacination in general
- Prevention of AIDS
- IVF
- Stemcell research and cloning
- Abortion

Many lives have been created / saved / ended to save pain by the above.
