Say what!? Crispy fried duck pancakes hoi sin is more from your corner of the globe. It's Chinese
Beef Wellington is fillet beef, cylindrical, coated in pate, and covered with the puffiest filo pastry, cooked rarae. - to die!

Don't get me wrong - I love Tex-Mex but haute cuisine it isn't!

Now you see - that IS recognised as official British cuisine. With India as "The Jewel in the Crown" and all that,. and Hong Kong, Britain is awash with Indian and Chinese rest's. I don't suppose there are too many reputable Inidan rest's in the USA?
Whereas you guys go for a Tex-Mex and a beer, the typical Brit goes for an Indian and a pint, after the pubs close.
We just have different ways of getting pain :-)
