Rakesh,

I don't expect any answer since we will be supporting all the three backends for our new app. Dbf's, My-SQL & SQL-server. We still don't know how easy/difficult it is.

If you use Local/Remote Views, it is easy. Our apps have offered SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, Cache databases for years, all done using Remote Views and/or Local Views for dbfs. You could also do it with cursoradaptors.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
