>>>Ummmm... March 1992, and was there Sept 1991 before that.

>Come on, Sept is still summer.

No, some wit once wrote that "The British winter ends on June the 30th and begins July the 1st" :-)

What I'm saying is you're not going to experience our best weather in Sept of March. Hell, last summer Hyde park had turned a light yellow-brown, for a few summers now our local park has been turned into a dust-bowl in places, from which the grass still hasn't recovered, and the trees have dropped their crispy leaves. This Sept was glorious but you won't always find that. If I remember 1991 I think we did have some very severe weather - gales and stuff (the 'puters in work kept switching off and rebooting with power failures, etc.), towards the autumn.

We can't complain really (but bloomin' well do!) :-)

It's probably a lot fresher for you on the West Coast (and I think pretty windy?). I was in Toronto during the "powoooer owoodages" a few Augs ago, and suddenly realised that the a/c had been on at night. I couldn't sleep for the sultriness of it (I don't drop off so easily anyway).
- Whoever said that women are the weaker sex never tried to wrest the bedclothes off one in the middle of the night
- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
